Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established food producer who is a leader in their sector; supplying major retailers throughout the UK and internationally. The organisation invests in its employees and progression within the company should be expected. There are a variety of roles available working Monday-Friday in their Powys site.

The Role
The Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer / Technician will strive to ensure smooth running of manufacturing operations. Development opportunities are available to build skillset to become a multi-skilled engineer.
Duties will include:

• Ensure work is completed promptly, efficiently and up to standard to minimize plant downtime
• Use a proactive approach to breakdown reduction by implementing permanent repairs.
• Respond to breakdowns in time ensuring the fault has been identified
• Use an analytical problem solving approach ensuring the line is running smoothly until it gets fixed permanently
  Ensure all work is carried out in pursuance with Food Safety, Health & Safety & Environmental standards
• Ensure list of parts required is submitted straight after assessing any job and parts are delivered on time to be able to carry out with the permanent repair.
• Provide excellent maintenance of the organisations assets, maintain and improve processes and plant by carrying out with primary checks, PPMs, also involvement in projects, as required.
• Ensure all planned and reactive tasks are completed in line with relevant paperwork.
• Develop a good relationship with internal and external clients, such as management staff, suppliers etc.
• Participation in the organisations Site Services.

The Candidate

• Specialism in either electrical, or mechanical (knowledge/experience).
• Be able to improve own performance continuously is required.
• Possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to work individually, or as a part of a team, work under pressure and have an idea of how to prioritize.
• Ideally have a food manufacturing background.

This role would suit a multi skilled engineer, mechanical engineer, electrical engineer, multi skilled technician, electrical technician, mechanical technician etc.
